Wow! It has been alot of years since I last blogged. Alot has changed since then. My daughter has married her high school sweetheart and has had 2 gorgeous sons. My nephew has graduated and waiting to deploy for the Army. My niece is in her last year of Jr. High and has blossomed into a beautiful woman. The best news is that my sister and brother in law have turned their lives around and are christians now. I thank God every day for leading our lives to the place we all are now. Sometimes it is the broken road that gets us to the best places.

Blah Blah
I know it has been a long time since I have blogged. I know few will faint though. I did happen to notice a comment or two from someone named Blah Blah. Obviously this is someone who knows me. Another obvious comment would be that I have no clue whatsoever as to who this person is. They seem rather anxious to tell me something though. Perhaps if they write a comment again, they will leave a name or maybe an email address so that I may learn of this huge secret they have burning in their soul. For the rest of you.....Surprise!!!

Hold on to your hat!
Well, it has been a long time. I just thought I would poke my head in and see if anyone had cleaned the place up. Paul, you can quit clutching your heart, you are not really having a heart attack over my blogging. I just really wanted to wish everyone a very happy holiday!

New Job
Well, I finally got away from that horrible boss that I had. I started a new job today. I love it. Same hours yet I get home about 40 minutes sooner. How cool is that?? Of course the kids may not like it....I can catch them in anything they may be up to! lol I have been to one court hearing already for the custody of my niece and nephew. The judge is sending us to a mediation on the 9th of August. Hopefully all will go well then and our next court hearing, on August 29th, will be our last and I will be the proud new owner of two great kids! lol Wow, I thought I would have more to say considering the length of time it has been sonce I last blogged! lol Peace out!

Fun Weekend
Well, I actually enjoyed the weekend....sorta...lol I went to see Sammy Hagar Saturday. He put on a great show. It was really hot but I didn't really mind it too much. It was my first real rock concert. I have seen Journey in concert, but I was inform that did not count as a real rock concert. Gosh I have lived such a sheltered life! lol A new week has begun and I am so ready for it to be over already! Counting down the hours. But on the upside, my friend is getting married next year and she asked me to help her plan it. That will be fun. It's always more fun planning someone else's :worst mistake ever"! lol...just kidding George. I know you will have a wonderful life! Muahhhh Sister!

The Long Weekend
Well, the long weekend came and went way too fast for me. My Dad is home from Iraq so I got to visit with him. He goes back Sunday though. We are going to have a family dinner Saturday with him and my Mom. In other Iraq news, my brother was in the paper this weekend. Well, he wasn't in the paper but a story about him was. My brother, Bobby Statum, is a specialist in the US Army stationed in Iraq. The journalist that wrote the story about him did an email interview with Bobby. Bobby emailed his answers back to this journalist. Did I mention that my brother's email address has his name as Bobby Digler? lol You guessed it, the entire story called him Bobby Digler instead of Bobby Statum...lol My Mother was livid. I thought it was hilarious though. I wonder what my sister in law thinks about it? lol

Bragging
Ok I have to brag on my nephew Austin. Austin and his sister came to live with me in January. They ha both missed 3 months of school. I got them back into school and Austin worked so hard on his grades. His lowest yearly average was a 79. For a child that missed so much work and had so many 0's, he pulled it off. I am so proud of him. Evidently, I was not the only one proud of him. I got a letter from his Math teacher telling me how much he enjoyed having my nephew in his class this year. He bragged about how hard Austin worked to bring his average up to what it is. In closing he said that he looked forward to watching Austin graduate from high school, with honors, in 4 years time. Made me cry! lol Austin buddy, I am so proud of you! I love you!
American Idol
Ok so the votes were in and the winner was declared! Drum roll please....dadadadadada....TAYLOR HICKS! It wouldn't have mattered to me which one of the two won, they were both very talented. I was a little bit shocked that Kathryn didn't win. Not disappointed. Just shocked. Wow...I was blown away by the guest stars. When Prince came out, I couldn't believe it. But did anyone else notice that he was wearing high heels? LOL My daughter was working tonight during the show and missed it. Of course, her heart throbm Clay Aiken was on tonight too. I sent her a text message telling her about it and how hot he looked...LOL Both of the finalists was given a new convertible Mustang. How cool was that? I suspect both will make a lot of money in the future.
