Long Night
I had a really long night last night. My nephew, Austin, had a very high fever, 103.6 to be exact. So, I spent my night at the emergency room with him. By the time we made it to the E.R., about 15 minutes later, his fever had hit 104.1. So, they jabbed, poked, and prodded him with needles until they decided that he had an upper respiratory infection. 7 hours later, we got to go home. Today, he just had to go to school, so out the door he went, after I went to work. Of course, the school nurse called me to pick him up after he started running a high fever again. BUSTED! How strange is it for a kid to like school so much that they sneak out to GO to school? LOL Frankly, I don't think it is the higher learning that he was after, rather than the cute girl he is currently in love with. Anyway, he seems better tonight but no school tomorrow for him. His sister is really jealous about it and has decided that she is indeed sick as well. She is the first child to go down in history as having a high fever of 98.4. Not even normal yet...LOL It's starting to really get to be fun around here!

I can relate to your nephew...I loved school so much when I was young (and foolish) that I tried to go to school with a fever, also.
I was *caught* when my Mom kissed my goodbye!!!
